Self-Care Bootcamp

Self-care is a buzz word these days for sure. As women, we are told we should make time for it. Yet, we are also told it’s selfish. That we don’t have time. That others need us first. Nurturing and taking care of others is in our female DNA.

Often when stress begins to adversely impact our health, we get a wake-up call to tell us that it is actually not selfish, but necessary for us to fill our cups first…

As a woman who used to subscribe to the “I’m too busy and puts everyone else first” method, I’ve spent over a decade learning the art of self-care. Releasing the guilt. Finding what fills my cup. Setting boundaries. And putting routines in place that contribute to my well-being.

A few years ago, I decided women needed a crash course in Self-Care and the Self-Care Bootcamp was born! The definition of bootcamp is “a short, intensive, and rigorous course of training.” That’s exactly what it is, an intensive, crash course in self-care in the most gentle, uplifting way that guarantees maximum results from the inside out!

This is not what you think of a bootcamp where you push your body to the max. Where it’s a no pain, no gain expectation. Where if you cry, you might be asked “what’s your malfunction.”

The irony of Self-care Bootcamp is that it is a gentle intensive in various practices of self-care.  It’s designed for the beginner as much as for the woman who has forgotten and needs a refresh. It’s about breaking free of the hustle & grind to start a new routine. Find a new source of joy that you can add to your daily rhythm of life.

You will immerse yourself in an experience that will involve full nourishment of your body, mind and spirit.

This won’t involve burpees, push-ups, or cardio drills. The stations you’ll experience at Self-care Bootcamp will consist of yoga, journaling, relaxation, positive affirmations, facials, massages, nature, creativity, meditation, healing circles, and connection with and support from other women who are saying YES to their self-care.
